DIY Runway Hair from Lure Salon

This season, we fell in love with the voluminous pony-roll 'dos from the runway of Vera Wang's fall 2011 collection (see exclusive backstage images from Beauty Blitz blog). The boldly romantic look is perfect for fall, and it's designed to be a quick fix that's easy to execute without a team of stylists, because let's be honest we can't all live like a Kardashian.

Here are some easy, DIY tips and tricks to get the look and add a touch of the runway to your fall style.

Need:

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

Oribe Superfine Hair Spray

Oribe Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray

Elastic Band

2 Premium Bob Pins

Where to Start:

Spray in Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray into your dry hair. This product is great for texture for women of all hair types, and for those that would prefer to go a couple days without a wash; this sodium chloride and paraben-free product also works as a dry shampoo!

The Real Work:

1. After spraying, comb your hair back, for the sleek look at the front. Tie into a loose pony tail with an elastic band. For the hair that doesn’t feel like there is bundles to work with, don’t be afraid to have some fun and tease around the nape and collarbone area. It’ll give the appearance that you had tons of hair to work with. Others with lots of hair, keeping it matte and sleek works!
2. Take the pony tail and tuck under to hide the elastic band. Crisscross two large bobby pins across the elastic band; it should be pinned to the nape of the neck. Shake your head side to side to reassure the hold. 
3. If you would like to add shine, at a distance, lightly spray Oribe Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray. (For blow drying, Oribe Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray can also be used to speed up the blow drying process. A little Royal Blowout goes a long way though, so always try to spray from the ends up to avoid an oily scalp.) 
   
4. To finish, lightly spray Oribe Superfine Hair Spray.
