Dallas Pedicabs will be hitting the streets of Uptown this weekend. Stop by the Launch Party at the Katy Trail Ice House tonight from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. to have a brew with the team behind bringing the new, sustainable form of transportation to Dallas and enjoy your first pedicab ride.

Can't make it to the Launch Party? Don't worry, we met with Dallas Pedicabs President, Robert Tobolowsky, to get more info on the operation.

Fall Essentials Pick-Of-The-Week

Club Monaco, $139.50 'Tasha' faux-leather leggings

Leather leggings are this season's edgy alternative to the standard fall staple. It may still be a little warm to work them into your wardrobe, but luckily they are breathable with faux-leather on the front and stretch jersey on the back (no one wants a paste pants incident like Ross on Friends).

Wear them now with a slouchy blouse (LOFT, $49.50 Welt pocket blouse in vanilla) and suede pumps, or later with a chunky knit and suede booties (Banana Republic, $180 'Zoe' gathered bootie).

Guests will have the opportunity to sample each of the chefs' specialties, and then you will be the judge. There have been many claims of the best, but on September 29 you will help select Dallas' reigning wood-burning pizza chef.

Ro2 Art Re-Orient Opening Reception

This Saturday, September 24 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. stop by the Opening Reception for Ro2 Art's new gallery show, Re-Orient by Linda Dee Guy. For Re-Orient, Linda Gee Guy will present works as a human scale assemblage, layered from archival inkjet prints, drawings, photographs and screenprints.

I am a collagist and lately like to think of myself as a “design anthropologist”, if there were such a profession.  The conceptual direction that I take in Re-Orient, is to combine an inclusive collection of various historical patterns with self-originated elements. Hopefully, the result crosses over into a contemporary perspective embracing both the past and the present, erasing some boundaries assigned between high and low art.
- Linda Dee Guy, 2011

Linda Guy has been an Associate Professor of art at Texas Christian University since 1976. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and an MFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. She teaches Lithography, Screenprinting, Digital Printmaking and Mixed Media. Linda Dee Guy's work has been included in over 75 group shows, a dozen solo exhibitions, and four invitational international exhibitions in Nagaoka, Japan, and Lima, Peru.

All works will be on view from September 24 through October 22, 2011. For more info, visit www.Ro2art.com.

This feminine lace tank from Lucky Brand Jeans is a great transition piece for fall. Wear it now on its own to make a statement, or wear it later layered under a funky fur vest or chic cardigan to add texture to your outfit. Gap 1969 Denim: Freeze Your Jeans?

Denim is a staple in every fall wardrobe. So how do you keep your favorite pair of jeans looking fresh all season? Gap's 1969 denim wash specialist suggests putting your jeans in the freezer to kill bacteria and prevent the color from fading. Check out the video above for more info on keeping your jeans cool.

If you're still shopping for that perfect pair of jeans, check out the Gap 1969 Premium Jean collection. Not only are they affordable (we're talking under $100), but they are also extremely flattering.

Bartlett to pick up your pair ASAP, they are selling out fast!

P.S. We tried them on, and they are insanely comfortable too!
