Union Bear + Scardello Event!

If you like beer and you like cheese (who doesn't?) then you will be excited about this upcoming event! Union Bear has teamed up with Scardello Artisan Cheese to present special beer and cheese pairing event THIS Wednesday, August 8!

There will be 5 beers paired with 2 cheeses each, including one very special beer from an off-centered brewery in Delaware. Naturally, I was curious and poked my nose around for some hints. My lips are sealed, but I will say it is a very rare but popular beer... any guesses??

Not a cheese connoisseur, per se? Me neither. Luckily, Scardello will be there at the event (hosted at Union Bear) to walk through all of the pairings and talk about all the cheeses and tastings. Also, special guest Nick Mangili, a brewer at Deep Ellum Brewing Company, will be at the event to talk about Wealth & Taste.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased either online or at the Union Bear location. If I were you, I would be sure to get my ticket asap- word on the street is there aren't too many left! The event starts at 7pm and doors open at 6:45pm.

Exclusive Brewing and Pizza Pairing Class at Union Bear!

Maybe I have been living under a rock- but have y'all heard of Google Deals? I know I never have, but when I stumbled across an exclusive brewing and pizza pairing class at Union Bear, I was very glad I did...

Join the class at Union Bear on August 19 at 4pm and learn the preliminary steps for homebrewing while getting great tips on how to pair pizza and beer. Pizza and beer? You can never go wrong with that combo in my book! 

The class is $35 per person (a $70 value) and can be purchased online until August 19. This is an incredible experience and is a part of Union Bear's Chef Exclusive. There is an added bonus, too: You will receive a $10 gift card to use toward your next visit.

For those of you who don't know, this West Village eatery is the ultimate go-to spot for pizza and beer. The "nano-brewery" has an extensive collection of local brews and is the place to sit down and enjoy a cold one. The collection has even been said, by the toughest of critics around, to to be quite impressive. As far as the food is concerned, the pizza never disappoints. The owner Matt Spillers, also owner of Eno's Pizza Tavern in Oak Cliff, knows what he's doing when it comes to these pies.

Be sure to buy your ticket soon! There are 6 days left to make your purchase, my friends. Once the word gets out about this deal, I know they will be going quick!
