New Gluten-Free Bakery Fills Old Orange Cup Space!

Everyone always asks me... "What is going to go into the old Orange Cup space??" Well, I'm finally able to let the cat out of the bag! I'm so excited to announce that Tu-Lu's Gluten-Free Bakery is coming to West Village THIS MONTH and we are thrilled!!

I have personally tried most of her products (for research, of course) and I can tell you that I couldn't even tell that they were gluten-free. That is what I love most about Tu-Lu's... I don't have to sacrifice flavor just because it's gluten-free! Not only that, but they also have dairy-free and vegan cupcakes and donuts (for all you crazy vegans)!

Former Orange Cup Space

Founder, Tully Phillips, created Tu-Lu's after being diagnosed with gluten intolerance and was forced into a gluten-free lifestyle. Phillips found gluten-free alternatives to all of her favorite foods, but when it came to baked goods she couldn't find any products that compared to the cupcakes and cookies of her past. Taking matters into her own hands she experimented with different blends of flour and finally came up with recipes for cookies, brownies and cupcakes that were just as delicous as products containing wheat!

Tully's business partner, Jennifer Wells, eliminated gluten from her diet after being diagnosed with Celiac disease in 2009. She became a huge advocate of a gluten free lifestyle after feeling the positive effects on her own health. Both women are passionate and strive to make products that everyone can enjoy regardless of their diet, allergies or restrictions... and it shows!
